Strathclyde Transport VTC Terms of Service

1. Terms

This website is owned and operated by Strathclyde Transport VTC. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors information, services and downloadable content. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Website Use

In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you need to be at least 13 years of age, or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any applicable law or regulation applicable to you.

3. Donation Subscriptions

When purchasing a donation plan, you agree that:

(i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy it 

(ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out payment process.

The prices we charge for using our services / for our products are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur.

4. Optional Tools

We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any control nor input.

You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools ”as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.

Any use by you of optional tools offered through the site is entirely at your own risk and discretion and you should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s).

We may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the website (including, the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to these Terms of Service.

5. Modifications

Strathclyde Transport VTC may change our terms of service with or without notice. By using our website and services you agree to be bound to the current terms of service.


6. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.


Privacy Policy

Strathclyde Transport VTC take your privacy seriously. To reflect this we have our own privacy policy which helps you understand how we use your information that gets collected through our website and services.

  • Information is collected lawfully and with the knowledge or consent of the individual.

  • All information collected is solely for the purpose of our services.

  • Your personal information should always be relevant for what it is used for and up-to-date.

  • Personal data is protected by us and our hosting company against loss or theft and unauthorised access.

  • Information is only obtained for the duration to which the individual uses or services.

Rewards Club

1. General

The Rewards Club is a free, opt-in service owned and operated by Strathclyde Transport VTC. By opting-in to the Rewards Club you are agreeing to our above terms of service and the terms and conditions for the Rewards Club which are outlined below. 

​When using the Rewards Club service you agree to the following statements:

  • You are of the age 13 years or older

  • If under the age of 18 you should have permission from parents/legal guardians to accept digital gifts when you redeem RP (Rewards Points) such as vouchers, games, DLC or PayPal Transfers from Strathclyde Transport VTC.

  • You agree not to resell or distribute gifts or content which you have redeemed using the Rewards Club service to individuals or third parties.

  • We reserve the right to withdraw pending redeem requests if we have reason to believe you have violated these terms or the company's terms of service or that we financially can't offer a reward at that time.

  • Reward Points (RP) are not refundable once a redeem request has been processed.

  • We reserve the right to deny or block Reward Points (RP) / Redeem requests even if earned legitimately should we have reason to believe you have failed to meet company requirements.

  • Strathclyde Transport VTC can lock, suspend or block anyone's Rewards Club Accounts at any time if we have a good enough reason to do so.

  • Rewards Club systems can be took on and offline whenever Strathclyde Transport VTC deem necessary, for example, to update accounts. We do not guarantee that our systems will remain online every day for you to use.


2. Reward Points (RP)

Reward Points (RP) are a cosmetic virtual currency that we use to identify how much value someone's account has. These points are earned legitimately by logging miles with our autologger Trucksbook.

Points are rewarded based on the calculation:

10,000 miles / 16,000 km = 1 Reward Point (RP)

These points can be redeemed at our Rewards Store in exchange for various items like vouchers, games, DLCs and direct PayPal Transfers.

If converted into real money value, 1 Reward Point is equal to £0.50. 

Reward Points are not a legitimate virtual currency and should not be treated as one. They are a means of showing value in an account.


3. Rewards Store

The items displayed on our Rewards Store are priced by Strathclyde Transport VTC and only gifted to you after a successful redeem request have been filed. We do not hold stock on the items displayed in the Rewards Store. Strathclyde Transport VTC will only purchase an item upon completion of a successful redeem request and then forward the item(s) onto the accounts specified in the request. Items and prices are subject to change without notice.


4. Monthly Rewards Point Deposit

Customers of our GOLD or PREMIUM donation subscription tiers get free Reward Points (RP) deposited into their Rewards Account for each month they remain a paying subscriber. Gold members will receive 3 RP and Premium members receive 5 RP every month.

When a user opts-in to the Rewards Club service and creates an account, they receive a welcome bonus gift of 3 Reward Points (RP) from Strathclyde Transport VTC. We reserve the right to revoke this welcome offer at any time without notice.


6. Logged Miles

To calculate a users logged mileage the Rewards Club grabs data which is publicly available on the leaderboards and statistics of Trucksbook. It should be noted that only normal miles are counted towards this service and that "race" miles are not included.


7. Sales & Promotions

Every so often we will have sales and promotions which reduce the prices of items on offer. During a sale members are allowed to redeem a maximum of two items during the sale/promotion period. Any redeem requests made which exceed the limit of max of two items will be denied.
